In the event of something such as a home invasion, criminals will sometimes restrain the people inside with duct tape so that they can ransack the home without interference. Former CIA officer Jason Hanson returns to The Security Brief with ways that will help you easily break free from duct tape restraints so that you can then escape and get to safety.
- To break taped wrists, raise your hands above your head and pull down and out quickly.
- To break free when taped to a chair, lean forward quickly as though putting your head between your legs.
- To break taped ankles, quickly squat down.
When you break free, get to safety as quickly as you can and get help. Don’t confront the criminals on your own.
